Dr. Laura Barfoot, DC, HBa (Kin)

Dr. Laura Barfoot completed her undergraduate education at York University and received her honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology and Health Science. She then completed four years of study at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) in 2009 with clinical honours. In addition to her chiropractic training, Dr. Barfoot has also taken continuing education courses that focus on running injuries, running analysis, spinal stenosis, lumbar disc injuries and muscle therapy treatments including Active Release Therapy and Graston technique.

Dr. Barfoot completed her clinical placements in Toronto ON working at a multidisciplinary Health Center as well as under a sport clinician at her school clinic. These experiences gave Dr. Barfoot the opportunity to treat a variety of people and many common injuries as well as complex sport injuries.

Dr. Barfoot has been involved in sports throughout her whole life. Growing up she was a member of the Owen Sound Aquatic Club and then went on to swim at the varsity level for York University. While attending university, Dr. Barfoot also developed an interest in triathlon. She went on to be very competitive in the sport of triathlon competing at the provincial and national level and represented Canada at the age group World Triathlon Championships in 2006 in Lausanne Switzerland.

Dr. Barfoot is also a proud member of the Kincardine Triathlon Club and the Saugeen Shores Master’s Swim Team. She is also a licensed member in good standing with the Ontario Chiropractic Association (OCA) and the Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA).
